Hello! I’m Lorie Herlea, President of the Pikes Peak Kiwanis Club.
Thanks for visiting our website. If you want to make a difference in your community, you’ve come to the right place!
Our Kiwanis club is a community service organization focused on serving the needs of children right here in Colorado Springs, while supporting programs that positively impact children all over the world. Our members are active at the ground level; not only supporting, but also participating in activities that improve a number of children’s organizations in our community.
At Pikes Peak Kiwanis, we strive to choose programs that benefit the children of our entire city. A sample of a few of our local programs include working with children at New Hope Shelter of the Salvation Army, under-privileged children attending after-school programs at various elementary schools, and Koats for Kids. We also promote and participate in Kiwanis International branded programs such as BUGS, K-Kids, and Key Club. These programs support our local kids through our cooperation with the Colorado Springs school districts.
If you want to serve and support your community, we have the opportunity that you are looking for. Kiwanis is fun, fulfilling, and a great opportunity to meet other like-minded individuals. Our members come from all backgrounds ranging in age, profession, and experience. Visit our club – you will find friendly faces and have the opportunity to make friends and form memories for a lifetime.
I invite you to check out our organization first hand. Join us for our weekly lunch at the Patty Jewett Golf Club House, 900 East Espanola Street in Colorado Springs on Thursdays from noon to 1:00 pm. Check out our calendar of events by going to the ‘Club Events’ tab to your left. Help us make a greater positive impact on the children of Colorado Springs.
We hope to meet you soon!
